Fake news about the radiation level in food in Japan.

A demagogue trying to spread panic.
Japanese rice is absolutely safe.
Get information base on reliable data!

You can believe or not, but, 5 and half+ years after March 11, 2011, there are still fanatic nuts that try to spread panic because of (invented) high radiation level in food in Japan.

He is dunrenard (real name: Hervé Courtois) and, instead of thinking about the 58 nuclear reactorsactive in his Homeland (France), he seems to be so badly obsessed with the radiation level in Japan. The last "pearl" generated by his insane mind is the following:  in the “7-Eleven” minimarkets in Japan, Fukushima rice is mixed with the other rices, to lower the contamination measuring and to facilitate its selling.

According to his delusional statements, he/they processed 7 kg of the above mentioned rice and than he/they gave samples to unspecified persons at Tokyo University to measure radiation levels. At the end of the story, Mr. Insane published a table with radiation levels adding the phrase: "The results are... to be worried about".

My answer is: "On the basis of WHAT these results are warring?" The values, expressed in Bq/kg are ridiculously low and absolutely not harmful. For example, ONE SINGLE BANANA from Colombia, Equador, Philippines (etc) have an activity of about 15 Bq, due to the presence of a natural source of radioactivity i.e. potassium-40 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banana_equivalent_dose). 1 kg of the indicted rice got an activity of 28.8 Bq/kg. So, in 1 kg of the rice the potassium-40 activity is lower than in 2 normal and common bananas. 2 BANANAS! I wonder if this guy is aware about how much he's ridiculous and pathetic. SHAMEFUL.
